Riello Sentinel Rack
On-Line double-conversion UPS in a shallow 19" rack format, to protect servers and critical equipment installed in a rack.
Riello Sentinel Rack UPS
What are they used for?
On-Line double-conversion technology constantly rectifies and rebuilds the voltage: your equipment is fully isolated from the mains (power cuts, micro-cuts, surges, noise, frequency variations) and the switch to battery happens with no interruption at all. It is the recommended protection for servers, storage, IP telephony, medical or industrial equipment and sites powered by a generator.
Key features of the range
- Technology: On-Line double conversion
- Waveform on battery: Sine wave
- Form factor: 19" rack
- LCD status display
- USB port for automatic computer shutdown
- Slot for communication card (network / SNMP)
- Runtime extendable with battery cabinets
- Automatic bypass: the load stays powered in case of overload or fault
Models in the range
| Model | Power | Internal batteries |
|---|---|---|
| Riello Sentinel Rack SER 1500 | 1 500 VA / 1 350 W | please ask us |
| Riello Sentinel Rack SER 3000 ER | 3 000 VA / 2 700 W | none (ER version, external batteries) |
Choosing the right UPS
- Add up the power in watts (W) of the equipment to protect and keep a margin of about 30%: the UPS should not run permanently above 70 to 80% of its rating.
- Check the number and type of outlets (IEC C13, C19, Schuko, terminal block) against your equipment's power cords.
- For longer runtime, choose a model with extendable runtime or an ER version to connect to battery cabinets.
- For automatic and clean shutdown of your servers, use the USB/RS232 port or a network card in the communication slot.
Replacement batteries
UPS batteries wear out even when there are few power cuts: they should be replaced on average every 3 to 5 years. You will find the replacement battery kits for this range in the « Riello UPS batteries » section.
