Our commitment to the environment
At Advanced Power Systems, we are committed to protecting the environment, reducing waste and saving natural resources for future generations. Every UPS we repair or help refurbish is one less device in a landfill.
Why recycle lead?
Lead is a valuable mineral resource. Recycling it costs far less than mining it, both for the planet and for your wallet. It is an effective way to preserve natural resources and protect our environment.
Warning: batteries contain lead, sulphuric acid and other chemicals that are hazardous to health and to the environment if they are not recycled properly. A used battery must never be thrown away with household waste.
Our recycling service
We are happy to recycle all your lead-acid batteries. Our recycling channel puts the components of used batteries back into the manufacture of new ones: lead and hazardous chemicals are recovered and safely reused.
How to dispose of your used batteries?
1. Send them to us
- Pack your used batteries carefully.
- Contact us: we will give you the shipping address.
- Send the parcel: all shipping methods are accepted.
2. Drop them off near you
- at a car centre or a garage;
- at a battery retailer or a supermarket, in the collection bins provided;
- at a recycling centre, where they will be taken care of.
When your UPS units or batteries reach the end of their life, you can count on us to recycle them.
