The APC RBC30 battery is a brand new, genuine replacement cartridge made by APC by Schneider Electric. It replaces the worn-out battery in an APC UPS with no need to assemble individual cells: the unit is ready to plug in, with its connectors. RBC stands for "Replacement Battery Cartridge", and the number 30 identifies the cartridge.

Key features

  • Genuine APC product: a manufacturer cartridge designed for APC UPS systems and their battery management, not a compatible alternative.
  • Ready to plug in: a cable and all the necessary connectors are included, along with an installation guide.
  • Hot-swappable on most APC UPS systems, meaning without shutting down the protected equipment. Follow the procedure in your UPS user manual.
  • Easy recycling: the reusable packaging and recycling guide let you send the old battery to a suitable recycling facility.
  • 2-year warranty (24 months).

What is it for?

This cartridge is intended for home users and professionals who want to keep their APC UPS in service rather than replace it, for example to protect a workstation, a server or network equipment. A battery wears out over time, with heat and discharge cycles. If your UPS signals that the battery needs replacing or if its runtime has dropped noticeably, it is time to change it.

Before you order

Schneider Electric does not publish a list of compatible UPS models for the RBC30 reference. Check the RBC number shown on your current battery or in your UPS documentation: it must match No. 30. If in doubt, contact us before placing your order. This cartridge is not rack-mountable.

At Advanced Power Systems, we are committed to preserving the quality of the environment,
reducing waste and preserving our natural resources for future generations.

Every UPS that we repair or help to refurbish is one less that will end up growing our landfills.
Every battery is 97% recyclable and is a source of reusable lead.
Indeed, the lead is recovered, remelted and then refined. Once this process is complete, the recycled lead is reused to manufacture new batteries.
Lead is a precious mineral resource, and recycling it is far cheaper, both ecologically and financially, than extracting it. It is therefore an effective way of conserving natural resources and an important means of protecting our environment.

Every new replacement battery kit that we sell extends the life of your UPS for years, at a quarter of the price of a new unit.

Recycling service:

We will be happy to recycle all of your lead-acid batteries.

Our recycling program feeds the various components of used batteries back into the battery manufacturing process, recovering the hazardous lead and chemicals so that they can be reused safely.

Indeed, batteries contain lead, sulfuric acid and other chemicals that pose a health hazard and an environmental risk if they are not recycled properly. They therefore cannot be thrown away just anywhere.

Several options are available to you

You can send us your used batteries. (All shipping methods are accepted)

1. All you have to do is pack your used batteries safely.
2. Stick on the cut-out recycling image provided or available below.
3. Send them to the address shown on the label

You can go to an auto center, a garage, or a manufacturer or large retail store that sells batteries and drop them in the bins provided for that purpose.

You can also go to a waste collection center, which will know what to do with them.

At the end of the life cycle of your UPS units or your batteries, you can count on us to recycle them.
